For me, Conspiracy Boy was better than Prophecy Girl.
It wasn't because it had better writing or because Cecily did anything different i just connected better with this book than the first one.
You fall so in love with Luc and Jackson in this book that you wonder if it's possible to love them anymore. Conspiracy boy has more action in it then Prophecy girl did and it differently makes your heart melt more.
I didn't cry reading Prophecy girl but I totally did during Conspiracy Boy.
In this book Amelie has to pretend she isn't bonded with Jack - which is harder than she thought and now her public Fiance, Luc, is trying to start a political uprising.
Oh and the Prophecy that she thought they found a loop hole around, well that gets so crazy, complicated can't even describe it.
After everything Amelie had been through to be with Jack she finally had him, or will things with Luc complicate things? The fate of the future of not just about the Angelbloods or the Immortals anymore, it's about humanity and life as the world knows it. Can Amelie do it or will she lose everything in the process?
There are small parts you think are irrelevant in the big scheme of the book but really, when the full book starts to come together you just think to yourself, "how did I not think of that sooner? Oh my gosh, that makes so much now."
Amelie and her friends have to trust people they did't think they could and friedhsips are tested, and allies turn on each other. Conspiracy boy had some words I had to look up but for the most part it was an easy read.
I would recommend it to anyone who can tell the difference between what's real and what's not.
I also found that Amelie was more funny. There was differently more humor in this book. 100%.

Nobody said senior year was going to be easy, but I wasn’t expecting pure hell, either. That’s right. HELL. Demons attacking. Cheerleaders screaming. Vampires and werewolves asking where the bathroom is. Just another day here at St. Michael’s Guardian Training Academy. It wouldn’t be so bad if the administration would let me get back to my demon-slaying duties like every other angelblood on campus. But with my bondmate Jack promoted to head trainer, my annoying fiancé Luc trying to start a political uprising, and that pesky prophecy still floating around predicting I’m going to kill everyone I love...well, let’s just say “complicated” took on a whole new meaning. But things are looking up. If I can survive Luc’s deadly Sovereign Trials and keep my evil twin sister from starting a war, Jack and I might actually have a chance of saving the world. If not, at least I won't have to worry about what to wear to prom.
