I liked this book. I felt like I could relate to Genevieve in some ways and and Jude takes my breath away.
This book was great, it had a great story line and it didn't leave any holes (other than the obvious for the second book).
I loved the possessive nature of Jude and the way he treats Genevieve. Jude is very dark and mysterious, he is sexy and mean, but also kind, and gentle. Jude is the guy you would want to save your butt and protect you when all the Demons are after you because you are a Vessel - a weapon that can be used as a weapon of darkness.
This book will have you on the edge of your seat while you read it. You will feel the raw emotions of the characters as if it was your own feelings. You feel like you live within the pages of the book.
It left me shook after I finished it. To see the transformation of Jude throughout the book and how Genevieve can do that to him is astonishing.
I haven't read the last two books and I don't know if I want to. I don't doubt that they aren't as good as the first book, but I just feel like I liked the way the first book ended and I didn't want to continue to read it as of now. I will probably go back and read them later on. I also felt that even thought it was a great book it was very long. It was an average book length it just felt like it just kept going on. That they couldn't have left out some things to make the book shorter but I like it regardless.
Personally I feel like the cover of the book is completely wrong. When I picture Genevieve she looks nothing like that. Like at all.
And Jude would kind of look like that I guess but a little more dark and mysterious. Like Damon Salvatore from The Vampire Diaries. When I picture Jude Delacroix he looks like the first seasons Damon Salvatore just in his thirties. Well that's roughly how I see him anyways. I would rate this book a 7.5/10. (apparently I am a hard judge lol)
I would also not let a kid under maybe 13 read it because there is bad content, sex, swearing, and detailed (ish) violence.

Genevieve Drake has never been the helpless kind of girl, has never needed to be rescued. That is, not until her twentieth birthday when some dude nearly chokes her to death in an alley and a hot stranger splits the guy in half, rips a monster from inside, and incinerates it into ash.
The hot guy? Jude Delacroix—Dominus Daemonum, Master of Demons. Now her guardian, whether she likes it or not.
But she’s seriously beginning to like it.
The dude choking her? One of many demons from the underworld trying to abduct or kill Genevieve. As the prime target of the demon prince, Danté, she has no problem accepting Jude’s protection.
Why Genevieve? She’s a Vessel, one born to serve the Light but can be corrupted and used as a weapon for darkness. She had no idea this world even existed. Now, she just wants to survive it.
