This is a good Harlequin Intrigue book. It is about a Deputy Commissioner George Madigan. I like that George has two sides. He is bold and on top of things and he's authoritative when it comes to his work and his city. But I also like the soft side of him as he falls for Elise Brown. Elise Brown is a mystery at the beginning of the book, no family pictures on her desk. She never talked about her family. All he knew was that she as great at her job, and he likes her. Then crap hits the fan. The mystery in this books is okay, I enjoyed reading this book. One thing I didn't like was that there wasn't a lot of action until the end when the rest of the book came together. I would let anyone read this if they can deal with mature content. I rate this book 5.5/10

There was no way Deputy Commissioner George Madigan was going to let his beautiful assistant fall prey to a stalker. Because Elise Brown wasn't just another employee. Her vulnerable blue eyes triggered all of George's protective instincts…and now her life was in jeopardy.
Working together almost 24/7 to bring the perp to justiceand sharing kisses passionate enough to ignite a Kansas City heat waveGeorge and Elise had forged the kind of partnership that could keep her out of harm's way and potentially lead to happily ever after.
Until a deadly tornado struck and Elise was taken hostage….
